College Football

 Let’s look at the entire college football landscape. Here are the numbers:

1.1 million high school play per class year

NCAA Division I – FBS = 129 schools

NCAA Division I – FCS = 125 schools

NCAA Division II  = 171 schools

NCAA Division III = 248 schools

NAIA = 86 schools

Total College Players 20,252 – ONLY 2% of high school players play at the next level

It is even harder to get a college football scholarship:

NCAA Division I – FBS (85) = 129 x 21= 2,541 total per year

NCAA Division I – FCS (63) = 125 x 16 = 1,971 total per year

NCAA Division II (36) = 171 x 9 = 1,539 total per year

NAIA (not so simple!)
